Sharing some of the local Christmas pretties

This is Bellingrath Gardens Christmas in Lights - is it any wonder I chose it for a scene in the recently contracted The Envoy

Preorders

Monday I mentioned the books I have on Preorder. So today I thought I'd share some of the list - maybe it will inspire you to try out these talented writers.

Releasing before New Years -

12/29 Bound by Sin by Jenna Maclaine - who doesn't love a vampire that is also a witch?

12/29 A Highlander's Destiny by Melissa Mayhue - found this series by accident and love them! Time travel and the Faye.

Coming in January -

1/19 Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresley Cole - the next in her Immortals After Dark series.

1/26 Highlanders Homecoming by Melissa Mayhue

1/26 Ecstasy Unveiled by Larissa Ione - the fourth book in her Demonica series. Each of the brothers I've loved best when I read their book. Can't wait for Lore's.

Coming in February

2/2 Bliss Factor by Penny McCall - she writes amazing Romantic Suspence.

2/9 Viking in Love by Sandra Hill - just saying Sandra Hill is enough of a plug for this one. If you like humour then you'll love her. She cracks me up!

2/9 First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost - I found her by the cover of Halfway to the Grave and have devoured everything she's put out since! Adore her vampires.

2/23 Defeat the Darkness by Alexis Morgan - I originally found her books at the local library and now she's an autobuy. Since then she's become a friend and a hand written little note from her encourages me when I get down. But, this book is Hunter's and he's such a tortured hero that I'm bouncing waiting for the release.

2/23 Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison - This is her Hollow's series which I found courtesy of a buy 2 get 1 sale. This one I'm going to be fighting hubby to read first! But think I'll win cause I read faster.

Coming in March and what lovely birthday presents they will be!

3/1 Possessing Morgan by Bonnie Edwards - Bonnie is another writer I've become friends with this year. Her Perdition House stories are Hot Hot HOT!!! Can't wait for this one.

3/2 Ladies Prefer Rogues Anthology - Sandra Hill is in it.

3/2 Master of Fire by Angela Knight - The return to her Mageverse series.

3/2 Born To Be Wild by Christine Warren - Hot sexy shifters! This is the next one in her Others series - looks to be lion shifters...

3/2 Serpent Moon by C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. New Tales of the Sazi book! YUM!

3/2 Black Jack by Lora Leigh - This is in her Elite series. Special agents from around the world that the world thinks are dead. But when they meet their ladies they burn up the page~

3/9 The Vampire and the Virgin by Kerrilyn Sparks - Like Sandra Hill, Kerrilyn makes me laugh.

That's my list for the first quarter - I'm sure there will be some I'll find later.

Preparing for a New Year

I know most of you are planning for Christmas, but not me. No, my mind is set firmly on 2010.

Why?

Well it takes time to get a book written, edited, submitted and in the line up for publication. So, have three to finish.

1. Tales of the Rikashi book 4 with my buddy Antonia Tiranth - we've got some shockers planned for this one.

2. Afternoon Surprise - this one is closest to completion. The rough is done but decided to add another scene. Then a final edit and submission.

3. The Escort - this one like Envoy has been on my plate for a long time and I think it needs to be finished.

4. No title - I want to write a Steam Punk. Because I think it will be fun just need to figure it out.

Then there's going back to school. I can't believe I'm doing it, but I'm also excited about it.

Last but not least are all the wonderful books coming from my favorite authors! Now if my husband discovers exactly how many I've got on preorder.... well I'll be cut off from the bookstore! But, Alexis Morgan, Kim Harrison, Bonnie Edwards, Kresley Cole, Lori Handland, Christine Warren, Kerrylyn Sparks and more have books coming out! Not to mention my favorite special agent - Pendergast is getting a new book!

I also plan on being better about updating here. Going to try for weekly... would love to do daily but I'm just not that interesting.

So, 2010 will be very busy!

Great news and other stuff

Well, this morning while doing my morning email checks I discovered Sarah's Story had been nominated for a Short Novel Award at Red Roses for Authors - http://redrosesforauthors.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-awards-2009.html Instructions on how to vote are on the post -- so if you liked the book, please vote.

I'm trying to finish up Afternoon Surprise an under 2k erotic short and the first rough of Tales of the Rikashi book 4. So, why is it no surprise that I get a great opening for a Steam Punk story? Because that is what Musie does....

The opening?

The weight of the derringer in her pocket calmed (don't know her name yet) as she walked towards the docks.
