I co-wrote a story with my good friend Antonia Tiranth - it's the third book in her series about Dragon Shifters. We just got word from her editor that she is enthusiastically recommending a contract be offered!

Location Scouting

Another fun thing about writing is going places to get pictures! Since a book I'm currently working on has the climax at Bellingrath Gardens. So, I grabbed my camera and my hubby and spent some time enjoying a March afternoon and happily snapping pictures!

My favorite part of the garden has always been the mermaid fountain. She looks so serene and graceful. It's actually a pretty quiet spot there. It doesn't hurt that I've always been a fan of mermaids. There are times of the year that she's prettier because of the flowers around her.

This is the boathouse that sits on Fowl River and where the climactic scene will take place.

There is a quiet serenity to the gardens and if you ever make the trip to Mobile, AL take an afternoon - no matter the season and walk through the gardens. If it's during the Holidays - go late in the afternoon so you can enjoy both the mums AND Christmas in Lights.

Those handsome men of romance novels

You want to know a secret?

The best part of being a romance author is all the romance heroes! Really! You get to design your perfect man and when you finish that novel - you get to do it again! So I thought I'd introduce you to some of my leading men!

Let's start with Captain Matthew Barrington - the hero of my April 23rd release Sarah's Story. I don't have a picture of him - because he's based on my personal hero of 21 years - my husband. He's funny, sweet, mischievious and dependable.

The next hero is Jett Houston. He's the hero of the book I cowrote with my good friend Antonia Tiranth and the third book in her series. Jett is the foulest mouthed and stubbornest hero I've ever tried to write! But he is so completely loveable, you can't help but fall in love with him. AND he's a major hottie. He showed up while I was listening to Black Velvet and the song fits him so well. In fact, it became the title of the book! We're just waiting for the editor to get back to us on if it's accepted or not.
So, I'm off to meet my next hero to fall in love with! All I know right now is his name is Ryan and he might be a wolf shifter! But meeting the guys is half the fun!
